Wild Rockies Race Team Training Ride Schedule
Monday evenings March 14 – October 31, 2016
The weekly WR Race Team Monday evening XC training rides depart / return from / to Military Reserve parking lot (on Mountain Cove Road) or Camels Back Park with wheels rolling promptly at 6:00PM. Weekly training ride updates are sent to WR Race Team email list.
The Monday night rides include XC skills training clinics throughout the Spring and are targeted at new and intermediate XC racers with difficulty ratings: technical difficulty = intermediate (capable of clipping in / out, ability to ride moderate “single track” trail with 2-way traffic); physical difficulty = intermediate no-drop (capable of riding half mile 12% gradient without stopping – e.g., up Kestrel / Red Cliff).
Tuesday evenings March 15 – August 16, 2016
WR Race Team joins the Lactic Acid Cycling Tuesday evening road bike hill climb training rides. These rides depart Lulu’s on Bogus Basin road at 6:00PM, and have difficulty rating: intermediate no-drop.
Wednesday evenings March 16 – November 2, 2016
WR Race Team joins the Joyride Wednesday evening XC training rides. These rides depart Joyride Cycles in Hyde Park at 6:00PM – 6:10PM, and have difficulty ratings: technical difficulty = advanced; physical difficulty = expert.
Thursday evenings September 8 – November 3, 2016
Cyclocross skills training clinics are hosted by Ron Miller on Thursday evenings in the Fall. The typical venue is Quarry View Park in East Boise (Warm Springs Ave and N Old Penitentiary Road), and these clinics initially start at 6:00PM.
